To update your profile, simply go to my profile and pick the area you would like to update. You can see how other people view your profile from this page too.
How can I be more successful in Online Dating?
There is no secret in being successful in Online Dating - you only need to be yourself. Be active, comment on other members' profiles and send them emails, chat with others and rate their profiles. Why was my Profile blocked?
If you cannot login using your screenname and password, there may be two reasons for it. Perhaps you asked suspend@YouCanGetMe.com to remove it. You can still restore your profile with us within a year of it being hidden. Another reason for blocking is 'customers' complaints' - they may have considered your use of the site as unacceptable or it may be that you used the site for promotional activities. Our Customer Service staff always check members' complaints of this nature. If you are certain, however, that none of these explanationss are relevant to you then please contact us to find out the reason.
How do I upload my Pictures?
You can easily upload any digital picture in JPG format to YouCanGetMe. We check every picture before it is published and will not post pictures of children or pictures of clipart or screensavers. Click here to upload your pictures today!
Can I put up Pictures that only my friends can see?
You can post up to 10 pictures with YouCanGetMe. The first one cannot be set as friends only, and should be a picture of you. Pictures 2-12 can be set as friends only - and you choose who you list as a friend. You need to upload your picture first, then select 'for friends only' so that the words '"for friends only" appear under the heading for that picture.
How do I remove my Pictures?
If for any reason you want to remove a picture, simply replace it in "my picture" in the "my account" section.
How do I change my Pictures?
You can change your pictures at any time by simply uploading new ones. At the moment this service is free, but we do process all pictures manually, so please do not treat the site as a free photo-album! If too many members change their pictures as the site grows we may introduce a charge, or allow pictures to be changed once per renewal. Once you have updated new pictures please make sure you clear your computer's cache. Otherwise, you may find that your old photographs are displayed... even though the rest of the members are seeing the new pictures you have loaded. This can be done in Internet Explorer from Tools -> Internet Options -> Delete Temporary Files. It normally takes about a day to process your pictures. We will email you to let you know that we have received them and then again once they are loaded.
Why was my Picture(s) denied?
Profiles with a photo get much more attention than incomplete profiles, so it's important to know the reasons why they can be denied. First of all, we don't accept clipart, graphics, drawings and landscape photos as a profile photo. Children's photos are unacceptable as well as photos of animals and acts of violence. One of the most frequent reasons for rejection is if you upload a female photo to go on a male profile or vice versa. If you indicated the wrong gender during the registration process, please don't try to upload a photo as it will be declined. All you need to do is re-register indicating the correct gender.
How long does it take to have my Profile/Picture(s) approved?
Usually 15-20 minutes is enough to approve your photo. Our Approval team works 24 hours a day to ensure that you don't need to wait and lose the potential contacts because of the lack of a profile photo.
Does your account have the wrong Sex status?
Members are not allowed to change sex status by themselves. If you have a compelling reason to change your sex status (eg. you made a mistake when registering), please contact us.
How can I update my Location?
To update your location:
- Click on the "my account" link in menu.
- Click on the "General Details" link in Profile block.
- Enter your new location and press the "update" button.
